A few years ago I was watching a TV news clip about a tornado that had flattened a neighborhood near Oklahoma City. As the camera crew neared a family, the interviewer asked, “ Did you have a chance to save anything?” The woman sobbed, “The family photos are gone! The wedding pictures, the kids, photos of the grandkids... ...all gone!”
A similar event occurred during the fires that swept through California, when a news crew approached a couple, who had lived in the same home for thirty years. They asked if they had been able to save anything, they replied ... “All we could save were the photographs”.
With all the uncertainties that we face today, it seems that our grip on the recent and distant past gets stronger and stronger. When it’s all said and done, all we have are the memories. With today’s technologies no matter the catastrophe, our perfect memories can be saved for the generations to come. The digital era is allowing us more freedom to shoot, edit, and display our memories in sizes never previously accomplished.
" And I still say to Myself.... It's a Wonderful World"
Despite the misfortune that might beset our lives, there is still a wonderous world around us that is filled with stuning sites to behold. These sites are there for you to see in the infinite moments that, all too often, pass us by. These special moments that can vanish in an instant, can be captured. If you are alert to the world around you and If you get in touch with the Artist that resides in us all...you can show everyone in your World...the beauty of Your World.
