WE ARE NOT AN ARCHIVAL SERVICE You are NOT responsible for acquiring and securing your Files We will hold your file on our "Active Hard drive " for 1 Year If we do not hear from you during that time... We will move your files to a "Storage Drive" for an additional Year If we still have not heard from you during that time... Your files will be moved to a "T" drive This means that your files are in Trouble of being purged from our system... There are many File backup services available to the consumer "Carbonite" and "Life Pics" are but two you might be comfortable with. A wise IT consultant once said... It's not whether a Hard drive will fail...It's only a matter of When. |
| Scanning With our Imacon Flextight Virtual Drum Scanner combined with the talent of our Color Manager, we can convert your slides, negatives, and prints to high resolution digital files for processing. This state of the art scanning device is extremely fast and economical. We scan you media to the maximum size that our Imacon will take your file. We then take your file to the maximum size that our Chromira will print...30 x the Aspect ratio which your media will allow. This is at 200 ppi. We then clean and address any editing issues at that size. We charge according to the size of the final Tiff which will be requesting. The minimum charge for a scan is $25.00. This will get you a 57 meg file which print up 16x20 to 16x24. If you wish to have the maximum file, the charge will be $.35 per meg. Cleaning, Color Correction and Optimization. If you have taken care of your transparency/slide or negative, the cleaning should only take about 5 mins...We will include that time in the scan price. If it takes more than 5 minutes, we will charge $1.50 per minute to complete cleaning. Optimization is done for the maximum size at $1.50/min. Unless there are special issues, this should only take 20 minutes or less. Global color correction is done according to the standards whch we have established over the years. If you wish to meet specific standards. PROOFING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... Your Final TIFF We recommend that you purchase the maximum size for your file at $.35 cents per meg. We will only hold that maximum file on our Hard drive for a limited time. These are the ways you can secure your Final Tiffs We can burn a CD for a minimal charge...
We can place your images on your Thumb drive or external storage drive for a minimal charge... Or we can place your images on our FTP for you to download to your Hard Drive. Please request one of these methods when you request your Scans. |
